He spent 25 years in corporate America practicing the art of leadership and skills necessary to develop great people. An award-winning executive for powerhouse companies such as Johnson and Johnson, Rain Bird Sprinkler Mfrg., Pepsi-Cola and Dr. Pepper/Seven Up., he built multi-million dollar businesses and successfully managed multi-million dollar budgets while helping people maximize their full potential. 


He is the founder of Impact!! Seminars Unlimited, Inc. a company dedicated to helping organizations increase productivity through empowered people. He is the author of two books, Get Off Your Assets!...How to Deal With the Challenges of Life and Win! and Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way!...Succeeding in the Face of Turbulent Times. He is also the author of Empower Yourself to Succeed!, a video based learning system for personal development now utilized by more than 160 prisons across the country.


Desi is also making an impact in the health care industry as an LADC, (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. With healthcare always a critical initiative in our society, Desi is becoming a mouthpiece for an underserved segment within the industry. Whether it’s a workshop or keynote speaking to a large group, he’s gives people the resources to transform their thinking by teaching them how to become emotionally available-(EA) and cultivate resilience even during the toughest times.



Desi has also been bestowed with the honor of being selected as a Dare to Lead facilitator/keynote speaker for Brene Brown Education and Research Group who is dedicated to helping organizations transform themselves from stagnation and survival into workplaces that develops daring leaders who create cultures of courage where people thrive. 


In 2004, Desi was inducted into the National Speakers Association Speakers Hall of Fame, where he joined such notable figures as President Ronald Reagan, General Colin Powell and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. In 2001, he received the coveted CSP, (Certified Speaking Professional) award, the highest earned designation by NSA. He is also a member of the Minnesota Speaker Hall of Fame. His list of clients include Fortune 500 companies, trade associations and professional football teams such as the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears.
